Word for the Week ~ 3/25/2019
Yesterday was a really great day in so many ways. The music was especially good and so suited to the message. How about that offertory duet!!! This Sunday we will be picking back up with Hebrews 2:5-18. Once again, our focus will return to the person and work of our Lord, as “We See Jesus”! (v. 9). This Sunday we will also begin our Week of Prayer for North American Missions (March 31-April 7th). We have a set a goal for our church of raising $4,000.00 for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering which will culminate Easter Sunday. There are still prayer guides available if you missed getting one Sunday.
Missions Festival: Speaking of Missions, we will be having our Annual Missions Festival on April 10th at 6:15 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Rev Robin Dale and Dr. Terrence Moody will be our special guest speakers.
Sunday Night Youth continues to go well. I got to play Pickle Ball with our students last night after Deacons Meeting. Their Worship Service was great, and Chris and Michelle did a super job leading worship. I loved Logan’s Bible Study from James chapter two. They are having a great group of youth attending!
Memory Monday will meet today at 2:30 p.m. in The Park. It is really a great time as our students come to receive help with school homework, play games, memorize Scripture, and share a great time of food and fellowship with the other students. Please encourage your youth in grades 6-12 to come join the fun. Call Logan for more information at (225) 963-0236.
The Journey Group will be meeting tonight at the church at 6:00 p.m. to head over to the home of Paul and Cheryl Plummer for dinner and discussion. Pastor Logan will be continuing their study on the “Foundations of the Faith.” Call Rhonda McKee at (660) 441-7338 for more information.
