Word for the Week ~ 1/11/2021

Greetings,

Sunday was truly a blessed day as we continued our series in the Gospel of Luke looking at the great prophet John the Baptist.  The music was very worshipful and the offertory, “On Jordan’s Stormy Banks,” fit so well with the passage about John baptizing in the Jordan River. This Sunday we will be continuing in Luke’s Gospel at 3:21 as we now turn to the final preparation of Jesus Christ for the launch of his ministry at 30 years of age.  Be sure to check out the sermon outline that we mail out each Friday at 2:00 p.m.  It can be used as a study guide for the message.  Once again, recordings of our services can be watched online anytime.  We are now using a new Livestreaming service called Vimeo.  It has already been a great help with matters of having to reset or reboot your computer due to signal loss.  So, check out one of our many feeds for watching online:  Facebook Live, YouTube, or our church website at www.GroverPark.org.  By the way, it was such a blessing seeing a member of our college ministry, Bethany Garnett, recognized as a recent graduate of UCM.
