Word for the Week ~ 1/20/2020

Greetings,

Sunday turned out to be a great day in spite of it being 14 degrees outside with a windchill index of -3 degrees.  We had 419 worshippers who braved the cold in attending and two new families who joined the church: James and Karen Stark joined by transfer of their membership; and Dock and Corey Phelps along with their four children (Dock, Kalib, Logan, Izek), joined on their statement of faith and baptism.  The worship and offertory were fantastic, and the Chiefs won the AFC Championship game against Tennessee and are going to the Super Bowl!  Next week we plan to baptize Freda Rene who came forward several weeks ago.  We continued our sermon series in the Book of Second Corinthians as we looked at the subject of Forgiveness from (2 Cor. 2:1-11).  This coming Sunday we will finish chapter two.

Our Christmas Card Mailbox was taken down, but we have placed the remaining cards in the foyer of the Worship Center for you to pick up.

Offering Envelopes: Our 2020 Offering Envelopes are ready to be picked up in the foyer of the Sanctuary.  Contribution statements were mailed last week for 2019.
