Word for the Week ~ 3/15/2021

Sunday:  Daylight Saving Time and a little rain did not keep the faithful from attending church yesterday as we had another good attendance, less a few rainy-day Baptists. lol.  The good news is that Spring begins this Saturday and the temperature is supposed to be 60 degrees!  We had a good turnout of kids for Children’s Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and added another class to the department.  We finished our character study of the twelve disciples Sunday from Luke 6:12-16.  This coming Sunday I will be preaching an evangelistic message entitled, “People Who Appear Close to Jesus But Are Far from Heaven” from Luke 6:16, John 17:12; Acts 1:15-20.

Week of Prayer for North American Missions:  Yesterday we completed our Week of Prayer for North American Missions.  We have already exceeded our new goal of $5,000 for theAnnie Armstrong Easter offering.  As of Sunday, we have now received $5,692.00.  Wow, Praise God!  We will continue to receive offerings through Easter Sunday. April 4th. This offering, which is above our regular tithes and offerings, is used to support over 5,000 missionaries and 3,800 chaplains in North America and to reach over 250 million people on our continent who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our church never ceases to amaze me in its faithfulness to the Lord and His church.

The Journey Group will not be meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. due to Spring Break.

Easter Scavenger Hunt On Wheels:  Roger and Michelle said: Gather your family, pile in the car, and head to the church on Saturday April 3rd at 1:00pm for an Easter ScavengerHunt on Wheels. Join the Grover Kids ministry as families form teams and drive around Warrensburg following clues that will lead them to places in town where they will learn about Jesus and collect items to fill their eggs. After filling all your eggs, return to the church to collect a prize and share what you learned. The Scavenger Hunt on Wheels is for Grover families with children ages 0-18. Covid safety precautions will be used to help keep your family safe during the Easter Activity.

Spring arrives this Saturday,

Pastor Randy
