Word for the Week ~ 5/20/2019
Sunday: Last week was a beautiful week, but it kind of ended on a gloomy Saturday with two inches of rain and some carry-over to Sunday. Fortunately, the clouds eventually moved out and Sunday afternoon turned out beautiful for our Community Outreach Meeting, Sunday Night Youth, and a number of graduation parties. We had over a dozen people show up Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. for our Outreach Meeting. Many of our church ministries were represented including: most of our staff, members from our worship team, Deacons, Sunday School teachers, mission volunteers, Board members, Kitchen Committee, and Personnel Committee. Wow! We have updated our schedule, and our next meeting will be Sunday, June 2nd, at 3:00 p.m. in room 101 of the Worship Center and not May 26th as first planned. By the way, on Sunday, June 2nd, we will be observing the ordinance of baptism once again for several who have made decisions.
Special Memorial Day Service: This Sunday, May 26th, we will be having a Special Memorial Day Service as we honor our veterans and our loved ones who have gone to be with the Lord. We will have a special presentation of the Flag along with a quiet moment of remembering our loved ones. The church office will be closed next Monday for Memorial Day.
Please pray for our Mission Team as they return from Haiti this Thursday on May 23rd. They have had an exciting trip so far and have already seen God do some great things. We will be having a special testimony night on next Wednesday, May 29th, at 6:15 p.m. for which the Mission Team will be telling us all about their trip.
Memory Monday will meet today at 2:30 p.m. in The Park. Today is our last meeting for the school year. It has really been a great semester as our students have come every Monday to receive help with school homework, play games, memorize Scripture, and share a great time of food and fellowship with the other students. Memory Monday will resume in August when school starts.
Prime Time (Senior Adult Choir) will meet tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Warrensburg Manor to sing. The bus will leave the parking lot at 9:50 a.m. This is a wonderful ministry of our church, and we would love for you to join with us.

With supper beginning at 5:30 p.m., with our special Evangelistic Study, taught by Logan Williams, will begin at 6:15 p.m. The children will be having Wednesday Night Live (WNL) at 6:15 p.m.
