Word for the Week ~ 9/3/2019
On a Sunday, which is typically lower in attendance due to Labor Day, it was great to see over 400 worshipers here to sing their praises of our God. It really was a very special day in the life of our church as we completed the main body of the Book of Hebrews. Pastor Logan will be finishing up with an exciting “Conclusion” from Hebrews 13:20-25 in my absence as he shares a message entitled, “Fully Equipped for the Work of God.” Our church will definitely feel like they have been on “Higher Ground.”
New Series/Testimonies: I will be continuing this Wednesday night our new series entitled, “The Truth About Cults.” Matt Mayden, one of our Youth Interns, will also be sharing his testimony this Wednesday night, September 4th. Matt grew up here at Grover, and he is now back at church from college serving the Lord and working with Logan in ministering to our youth.
Women’s Retreat This Weekend: Our Annual Women’s Retreat is just a couple of days away on September 6-8th. If you call today, we can still get you in to join the nearly 50 women who will be attending. The study is entitled, “At the Feet of Jesus–Finding Intimacy With God.” The retreat will take place at Heit’s Point in Lincoln, MO. This promises to be a great weekend of fellowship, food, fun, and renewal. Indoor pool will be available. The cost for the weekend is $110.00. Scholarships are available.
